Hydroseeding

Hydroseeding—sometimes called hydraulic mulch seeding or hydro-mulching—is one of the fastest, most effective ways to establish grass and control erosion over large areas. It’s ideal for construction sites, roadways, fire restoration, and steep or erosion-prone slopes.

This method sprays a blended mixture of seed, mulch, fertilizer, and water under pressure to ensure even coverage and strong growth. Proper soil preparation and follow-up care are key to success. CCS has perfected this process through years of experience, using advanced equipment and proven techniques to deliver consistent, reliable results that stabilize soil and promote healthy vegetation.

Our Four-Step Process

Prepare

We first prepare the soil on the site, ensuring that the newly planted seeds will have the optimum environment in which to take root and grow.

Spray

We combine fertilizer, water, and grass seed into a slurry and spray the mixture through pressurized equipment onto the land. This procedure is incredibly efficient as it provides coverage over vast areas in a very rapid time frame with little manual labor involved.

Cover

We cover the seeded area with straw to protect the seed against birds, intense sunlight, rain, soil erosion, and wind.

Spread/Track

After the straw has been spread, it is “tacked.” This process coats the straw adding density and strengthening the straw’s bond to the ground while also serving to extend the functionality of the straw.

PROVEN SAFETY
CULTURE

CCS is recognized for one of the best safety records in the industry. Our crews undergo continuous training and follow strict compliance standards on every site. From equipment operation to environmental protection, safety is embedded in every step.

The Right Equipment
for the Job

Not all seeding equipment is created equal—and having the right machinery is essential for successful application. CCS operates one of the most advanced fleets of hydroseeding equipment in the industry. Our tank-mounted trucks, equipped with 1,700–3,000-gallon tanks, specialized pumps, and continuous agitation systems, deliver consistent, high-quality results on every job.

For tack application, our Tornado Tack ST-1000 Tackifier doubles standard coverage—reaching up to four acres per 3,000-gallon tank—reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. When projects call for emulsified asphalt, our Tack Truck and Tack Buggy are ready to meet any site condition with precision and speed.
